As part of the preparation for the IHF Women’s Youth U18 World Championship, which will take place in Kielce on 7-19 August 2018, representatives of the International Handball Federation (IHF) – Per Bertelsen from Denmark and Marco Tosi Brandi from Italy – visited Poland.
On Thursday (08.02) IHF delegates visited the facilities that will be used during the tournament – sports halls and hotels for teams and officials. On Friday (09.02) in the headquarters of the Polish Handball Federation, a workshop was held during which all key issues regarding the preparations and organization of women’s MMMs up to 18 Kielce 2018 were discussed.
On the part of the PHF, the meetings were attended by the vice president and director of the PHF’s office Henryk Szczepański, vice president of the PHF and chairman of the Świętokrzyskie Handball Association Grzegorz Budziosz, director of external relations of the PHF and director of the tournament Damian Drobik, director of international relations of the PHF Marek Góralczyk , deputy tournament director Grzegorz Gutkowski, PHF’s marketing coordinator Monika Listkiewicz and PHF’s spokesman Jan Korczak-Mleczko.
The Women’s Youth U18 World Championships will be held from August 7-19 in two arenas in Kielce – Legionów Hall and the Kielce University of Technology Hall. The event will feature 24 national teams from around the world. The group phase draw of the final tournament is planned for May, when all the finalists will be known.
