The list of 24 teams – participants of the IHF Women’s Youth World Championship Poland 2018 – is now complete! Tournament’s group phase draw will take place on Thursday (April 26, 14:00) in the International Handball Federation (IHF) office in Basel, Switzerland.
THE PARTICIPATING TEAMS ARE SEEDED AS FOLLOWS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE IHF COMPETITION REGULATIONS:
pot 1: GERMANY / NORWAY / SOUTH KOREA / HUNGARY
pot 2: FRANCE / RUSSIA / DENMARK / ROMANIA
pot 3: POLAND / SPAIN / CHINA / EGYPT
pot 4: TUNISIA / SWEDEN / BRAZIL / NETHERLANDS
pot 5: MONTENEGRO / JAPAN / CHILE / KAZAKHSTAN
pot 6: SLOVAKIA / ARGENTINA / ANGOLA / CROATIA
LIVESTREAMING OF THE DRAW WILL BE AVAILABLE ON IHF WEBSITE (www.ihf.info).
The third pot will be drawn as the last one and Poland as the host will have the right to choose the group.
In the first phase of the tournament, the participating nations will compete in four six-team groups. The best four teams from each group will qualify for the eight-finals. The tournament will be played in Kielce (August 7th-19th) in Legionów Hall and hall of the Kielce University of Technology.
