Sports Infrastructure
The city of Kielce is a thriving sports center with modern sports infrastruc- ture that meets the collective needs of the municipality inhabitants in terms of spending free time actively and promoting attitudes aimed at improving health and physical tness.
One of the most important elements for the promotion of physical culture and high level of sport is the base of sports and recreational facilities. The city’s base of sports facilities consists of the structures managed by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center, school facilities as well as public sports grounds and recreational areas.
Hall Legionow
It’s the largest sports arena in Kielce with a capacity of 4200 seats. It is the eighth largest facility of this kind in the country. It is de- signed for the organization of sports and recreational events as well as culture and entertainment ones. But above all, it is the facility where the highest league handball and volleyball matches are played. The other three sports arenas are: Sports Arena at ul. Krakowska and Warszawska, and the Sports and Entertainment Arena.
Sports Hall University of Technology
The Sports Hall of the Kielce University of Technology was built in 2010. The building has 3,400 square meters of floor space, including 1,700 square meters prepared especially for the team sports competition – handball, volleyball and basketball. Audience capacity is 500 seats.
